AI Foundations for Procurement

The gateway module. Every learner starts here.

  1. How LLMs Actually Work

What language models can and cannot do, and why that matters for professional use.

  2. Three-Tier Data Classification

Public vs. internal vs. confidential: which data can you put in which tool. The framework you use every time.

  3. Setting Up Your AI Workspace

Configure Claude Projects with system prompts that maintain context across your procurement work.

  4. The 4-Step Verification Protocol

Source · Logic · Fitness · Consequence: a mandatory check before any AI output goes into professional use.

  5. Evaluating AI Tools

The "sharp intern" benchmark for assessing what an AI can and cannot do. Tool landscape overview: Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot.

  6. The RCCF Prompt Framework

Role · Context · Constraint · Format: the four-element structure that underpins every prompt in this program.

  7. Five Foundational Prompt Patterns

Extraction · Analysis · Generation · Transformation · Evaluation. A pattern for every procurement task.

Part 1 · ~2 hours · 6 modules · Pro, Pro+

Category Manager & Sourcing Track

End-to-end sourcing from market scan to negotiation pack.

  1. Module 1.1: Supply Market Intelligence

Build a structured market brief in under 30 minutes. Supplier identification, market structure, cost drivers, risk signals, backed by a rigorous verification workflow.

  2. Module 1.2: RFI Design & Response Analysis

Design RFI question sets that force comparable responses. Score and shortlist at speed without losing analytical rigour.

  3. Module 1.3: RFP Construction

Contract Manager Track

From obligation extraction to renewal strategy, one running scenario.
